FAQ – Naturli’ Organic Spreadable

Naturli’ Organic Spreadable is made from organic rapeseed oil, Shea oil, coconut oil and almond butter. The oils are refined to ensure longevity and to prevent the product’s flavour becoming saturated with the taste of coconut or rapeseed. It was a clear wish from Danish consumers that the new product should taste like butter. The oils are NOT hardening. Naturli’ Organic Spreadable should therefore also be kept cold in the fridge, as it can otherwise become runny at room temperature.

Hardening oils and fats may not be used in organic products.

In general, the production of plant-based food results in much lower CO2 emissions than the production of animal-based food – including when it is calculated from the ingredient in the field to the finished product. Our external partner is currently calculating the precise carbon footprint for the process, from the soil to the table, for our Spreadable product. And we will tell you much more about it on our social channels as soon as we can.

In general, we say that it can be stored in the freezer for up to three months. If the product only has 14 days left of its use-by date when it is frozen, when it is defrosted, it still only has 14 days left in which it can be used.

Generally, we recommend that you put the product in a freezer bag before placing in the freezer. This will prevent it absorbing other tastes or odours in the freezer. You should always defrost it in the fridge.

Great idea! Naturli’ constantly develops its range to meet the huge demand for plant-based food. This is why small packs of Naturli’ Organic Spreadable is an idea we very much interested in exploring. But for now, we do not have a specific date for when such small packs will be available on the market.

Rapeseed oil is not cold pressed, as this would result in the product’s flavour becoming oxidized with the taste of old rapeseed oil. The rules that apply to the treatment of oil means that the oils are treated much more carefully compared to conventional oils.
